The IHA is the owner of a unique automotive collection of eleven vehicles and three chassis developed by engineer Jean-Albert Grégoire. The collection is presented in the permanent exhibition of the National Automobile Museum - Schlumpf Collection in Mulhouse.
The collection was given the designation of a historical landmark by the Ministry of Culture in 2016.
The collection essentially consists of 11 unique cars or prototypes, among which we can distinguish:
The collection also includes various chassis in cast aluminium alloys, which showcase the technique developed by J.-A. Grégoire and even some aluminium mechanical parts: differential housings, front axles, engine casings, drum wheels... but also wind tunnel models, paintings, cups, medals, books and manuscripts, because in addition to his work as an engineer, J.-A. Grégoire was also a writer.
The collection is presented in the permanent exhibition of the National Automobile Museum - Schlumpf Collection in Mulhouse.
On the occasion of the transfer of the collection to Mulhouse in 2009, an agreement was signed between the IHA, owner of the collection, and the Automobile Museum, by which the latter was delegated management and development.
