The identification tools made available to the IHA and the researchers it hosts are as follows :

• IHA Archives : see the "IHA Archives" section for a presentation of the research tools and associated inventories ;
   
• Historical Archives of the Pechiney Company : Pechiney Historical Archives : inventories and other research tools can be sent on request (histalu@histalu.org).
  For other archives, a request for access to the inventories must be made to Rio Tinto France's legal department via IHA.
   
• The scholarly works housed at the IHA provide often accurate descriptions of RTF's archival holdings and other historical resources ;
   
• Overview of sources by plant or by company carried out by IHA.
