Missions
The Institute for the history of aluminium was founded in 1986
in line with the Centenary of the Hall-Héroult process for aluminium production.

It has three main missions :
- protecting the aluminium industry's heritage,
- the multidisciplinary study of the history of aluminium in its technical, economic, industrial, commercial and cultural aspects,
- the promotion of that work.
