Organisation

IHA is administered by a Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the Annual General Meeting.

The Board of Directors elects volunteer officers – Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer - from among its members. The Chairman presides over the officers, the Board and the association. The Chairman runs the association on a day-to-day basis. He or she acts in the name of and on behalf of the officers, the Board of Directors and the association

A Scientific Committee, whose members are appointed by the Association’s Chairman, defines the main lines for the association’s activity and appraises its results. It is made up of social science researchers and heritage specialists.

Committees and workgroups are set up to manage research programs.

A full-time staff of paid employees prepares and runs the association’s activity under the authority of the General Secretary.
